Welcome electrical-engineering.academy

W

elcome to my blog! Today is the legendary day I will remember in the future. Today the 27.08.2015 will be a day to remember as the founding day of our homepage:

www.electrical-engineering.acasdemy

My name is Alexander Muth. I am Dipl.-Ing. (FH) for electrical engineering, head of the secondary technology division and business unit manager at IEK GmbH in Cottbus / Germany.

After successfully completing my studies in electrical engineering at the Lausitz University of Applied Sciences in Senftenberg, awarded the title "outstanding" and awarded the diploma thesis by VDE, I started as an international commissioner for electrotechnical protection systems. My main areas of expertise are generator and power station protection. I am the co-author of the VDE book "Elektrischer Eigenbedarf" as well as the VGB guideline "Elektrischer Blockschutz" and wrote several own books.

I created this site since I have always missed a open and independet protection and control portal for interested parties. New products are constantly coming onto the market. Regular conferences and meetings are held. There is a flood of information. This site is to be the new pivotal point for all technical and professional developments concerning the topics of protection and control technology. In addition, the next generation of commissioning engineers for protective and process control components are going to need a starting point for informations. They need a place to share.

So much for my new job, I will start by describing an important component of the current transformer test. This important test is often forgotten, but:

The winding check of a current transformer may not be missing for any initial commissioning of new current transformers.

How did it go ?

I am looking forward to seeing you and my first blog! This site will become a reference point for all interested and professional colleagues.

Best regards Alexander Muth
